A notebook maintained by Jean Lipman providing information about her personal collection of American folk art including type of work, provenance, circumstances under which artwork was acquired, and price paid. Her collection forms the basis of the collections at Fenimore House, New York State Historical Association, Cooperstown, N.Y. Also significant are her ideas and notes for her articles and books about American folk art as well as random notes about folk art exhibitions.
